She was part of the opening scene with her watching as Tina does a mock press conference and she is discussing things with Lorne. She makes a comment about not being able to do the 30 Rock sketch she wrote. Also featured were Mark Wahlberg and Alec Baldwin. She also appeared during The Weekend Update section where a pregnant Amy Poehler did a rap about her. She held her own and did a great job.
But, this brings me to a question that has perplexed me, why? In an election where the economy has been falling apart, there are still too many people without health care, and were in a war we can't seem to get out of, why are they taking time to do these things. It may be so they can reach a younger audience, it may be another way to get their name out their, I don't know it could also be to show they are with the times, but their are more pressing matters. I am not just saying this about Palin she just happens to be the most recent. The election has seemed like a long high school election. Who is more popular, who can make the other feel worse about themselves? For the next few weeks I want to hear about the issues and quit seeing them attack one another or even appear on talk shows, because their is no need.
to see Governor Palin on SNL you can go to NBC website or hulu.com

i totally agree i wish they wouldn't treat it like a high school election but i feel as we come closer and closer to the election that's all it will be. We are done hearing about issues its all about what he did in the past vs what i did. It's unfortunate that this is the way it has to be. I wish there was more time spent on portraying your view on issue as opposed to who voted for or against president Bush. The election is coming up and i just don't see either candidate changing their tactic.
I agree with you. One of my first blogs was about the election. With the economy the way it is, why did Hillary Clinton spend $212 million. Who knows how much Obama and McCain have spent. They can raise all this money for themselves but won't spend it somewhere else. If you have ever donated money to a candidate, I may punch you in the face. All this money goes to pointless campaigning. If they have the power to raise so much money for themselves, why don't they raise money for someone or something else.
I totally agree. This election has been a popularity contest from the get go. We need to be focusing on how we are going to pick ourselves up out of this mess we are in. Honestly, I am having difficulty deciding who I feel is worthy of my vote because I honestly feel none of them are. Now, with the latest ad wars, it has driven the point home that it isn't about issues, it is about who is better than the other and not who has the best plan for getting us back on our feet!
